Tierbergli Via Ferrata with a visit to the Tierbergli Hut
Rock, ice, and sweeping views: The Tierbergli via ferrata on the Susten Pass offers a unique high-alpine experience. The route consists of two sections, leading from the Umpol parking lot up to the Tierbergli Hut at 2,795 meters, past a challenging crux and always accompanied by the impressive panorama of the Steingletscher glacier. After the first section, you can switch to the trail leading to the hut.
Itinerary:
Meet at 8:15 a.m. in the parking lot at the Hotel Steingletscher or at 7:35 a.m. at the Meiringen train station, then travel to the Umpol parking lot.

We then hike up the Tierbergli via ferrata to the Tierbergli Hut.
After a snack at the hut, we take the Hüttenweg trail back to the Umpol parking lot.
