
Graustock Via Ferrata
Airy and unforgettable: The Graustock via ferrata leads from the Jochpass over the southeast ridge to the 2,662-meter summit. The route combines sections of mountain trail with secured climbing sections, with several challenging passages requiring technique, strength, and a head for heights. The view from the summit of Titlis and the Bernese Alps makes every ounce of effort worthwhile.
Program:
Meeting point by arrangement: Engstlenalp parking lot, Jochpass mountain station, or transportation from Meiringen train station by minibus.
Ascent from the Jochpass (2,207 m) via the southeast ridge to the Graustock (2,662 m); duration approx. 2.5–3 hours.
Descend back to the Jochpass (approx. 1.5 hours) or via the Schaftal valley to Engstlenalp (approx. 2 hours).
